Alice: Hello, sweetie! How was your day at school?
Jack: Mommy, I fell down the stairs.
Alice: Oh, no! Did it hurt?
Jack: Yes, it hurt me a lot. The pain is in the middle of my leg.
Alice: Your knee? Let me check. Good thing we bought the first aid kit last month. I’ll bring it.
Jack: That was a good idea, Mom. Ouch! I’ve bent my leg and it hurts.
Alice: I’ll put this bandage around your knee, honey.
Jack: Look, Mom. What is this on my arm?
Alice: It’s just a scratch! I’ll clean you with some alcohol wipes and put a band-aid on it. We’ve had these SpongeBob band-aids for three months. Here you are.
Jack: Thank you! Those are nice. I also liked the Mickey Mouse band-aids.
Alice: We haven’t opened this pain relief cream yet, but I’ll rub some on the scratch, to relieve the pain. Tell me, how did it happen?
Jack: It was at lunchtime, and when I was walking down the stairs I stumbled. I was being careful, but I got distracted.
Alice: Well, maybe your shoelaces were not tied. I’ll use the thermometer to check if everything else is okay.
Jack: I haven’t felt flushed, Mom.
Alice: Everything is fine. Have you eaten anything?
Jack: No, I haven’t had my lunch.
Alice: Good thing I’ve prepared a few sandwiches. Let’s eat, Sweetie.
Jack: Thank you, Mommy, I’m very hungry.
